Spinal Decompression Therapy
Our KDT Spinal Decompression System offers patients a painless, non-surgical and side effect-free treatment for conditions previously refractive to traditional medical care. Spinal Decompression can help relieve pain and symptoms associated with many low back and neck pathologies. Some common conditions treated are herniated discs, facet syndromes, degenerative discs, bulging discs, and spinal root impingements. Spinal Decompression can significantly reduce recovery time over traditional therapies from several months to just a few weeks.

Spinal Decompression is a classification based application of axial traction with the intention of decompressing a compressed structure, namely a disc. It is based upon directional preference positioning and specific protocols. We administer treatment parameters at safe force levels based upon science and research standards. Decompression accelerates tissue healing with a dramatic decrease in pain and inflammation by a process called osmosis which is an interchange of fluid in and out of the discal space. Unlike all other treatment modalities, Decompression therapy actually takes pressure off of the spinal nerves, helps disc pathologies heal, and is a powerful non-addictive drug free form of pain management.
What Conditions Can Benefit from Spinal Decompression?
- Bulging Discs
- Herniated Discs
- New and Old Disc Injuries
- Degenerative Disc Disease
- Facet Syndrome
- Arthritis
- Failed Back Surgery
Kinesio-Taping
Rehabilitative taping technique designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion.

Dr. Joelle Renaud is our certified KINESIO-TAPING® practitioner.
KINESIO-TAPING® is very beneficial for:
- Knee pain
- Shoulder injuries
- Plantar fasciitis
- Low back pain
- Disc herniations
- Ankle sprains/strains
- Bruising
- Carpal tunnel
- Tension headaches
Electrical Muscle Stimulation
This effective 15-minute therapy works by transferring electrical impulses through the skin to the underlying nerves and tissue. This causes a blood flow increase to the area of pain or spasm, resulting in reduced muscle inflammation and soreness. Ice is also applied along with EMS to help further decrease pain, spasms, and swelling. This allows your muscles to relax and is typically completed before your chiropractic adjustment.
Computerized Range of Motion Testing
Spinal injuries will often result in a reduction in the normal ranges of motion in the body, as well as affecting many muscle groups. With our state-of-art computerized range of motion evaluation system, we are able to give accurate and objective assessment of the regions of your body which need the greatest attention.
