Shockwave searches in Newark usually mean a plantar fascia, a shoulder tendon, or a knee that has already survived rest, ice, and a month of ignoring it. The machine is not at 550 Stanton Christiana Road. It is at the Smyrna office, 699 South Carter Road, Suite 5. Newark, Wilmington, Middletown, and Dover do not have it.
The reason to be picky is simple. Shockwave is pressure-wave treatment for tendon tissue that has stopped healing on its own. It is uncomfortable on purpose for a few minutes. It is the wrong tool for a disc, a pinched nerve, or a neck that hurts because of a laptop.
Christiana retail floors, fulfillment work, and UD athletes produce the tendons we actually treat here. The exam includes the foot or the shoulder and the chain above it. A calf that will not lengthen will keep irritating a plantar fascia no matter how many times the machine fires.
Call (302) 365-5470 and name the tendon. If you are comparing offices only by who advertises the device, ask whether they examined you. A machine without that step is a brochure.

FAQ
Is shockwave in every Pure Wellness office?
No. Only Smyrna has it. Newark, Wilmington, Middletown, and the Dover office do not. If you book another building asking for shockwave, the desk should send you to Smyrna.
Does it help sciatica?
Not as a sciatica treatment. Shockwave is aimed at tendon tissue — plantar fascia, shoulder, elbow, some knee tendons. A nerve-root pain needs a different plan.
How many sessions?
After the exam shows a tendon is the driver. A typical course is short. We do not sell a shockwave package before anyone has pressed on the tissue.
I live in Glasgow. Is Newark the closest machine?
No. Newark does not have the machine. Glasgow patients who need shockwave go to Smyrna, 699 South Carter Road.
